28th Mar, 2015 :
  • 3 batches of adolescent girls (149) from Ranchi urban were imparted training for 3 days per each batch on Health & Hygiene Management. This programme is supported World Vision, Ranchi.
16th Jan, 2015 :
  • 5 days training were imparted to 46 trainees on low cost Sanitary Napkin Production & uses. This programme is supported by Worl Vision, Bokaro, Bokaro Steel Limite, SAIL and Kashipur Kishore Bharati Vidyalaya, West Bengal.
13th Nov, 2014 :
  • 3 batches training were imparted to 49 trainees on Animal Health care & Management. This programme is supported by CWS, Jmashedpur.
27th June, 2013 :
  • Eight batches of adolescent girls (240) from Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal were imparted one week training on Menstruation Hygiene and Low Cost Sanitary Napkin production. Under this programme, supported by COMAPSSION, East India, 24 production unit are being established by SRI at 24 diffrent locations in these states.
21st Dec., 2012 :
  • Chairman, SRI visited for 2 days.
Bravo Manoj Karmali:
Manoj of Masu village, Angara is a school drop-out. Three years back in 2010 (Batch 93) he underwent a training on carpentry at SRI. Today he runs his own enterprise. Ankeet Furniture, employs 2 village youths and earns an income of 10 to 12 thousand per month.
Skill is the Winner:
X CN Honda Workshop at Ranchi absorbed six village youths who complete training on 2-wheeler maintenance in September, 2012 (Batch No. 98).
14th Dec., 2012 :
  • 5-day training for 100 practicing women from Garwa on Bamboo craft sponsored by Citizens Foundation, Ranchi was completed.
  • Field meeting was held at Tiroldih with official of TATA Power, Mukhiya, Village School Teachers and Villagers. Mr. M. R. Goswami and Mr. Ashit Sarkar explained the back ground of SRI and the importance of improving Skill through training.
  • It was decided that selection would be held on 27-28 December for the first batch of 50 candidates.
10th Dec., 2012 :
  • 10-days training on “Small Animal Raising and Management” was completed. Certificates were awarded by Dr. Palit of Jamshedpur to 30 successful candidate.
7th Dec., 2012 :
  • Mr.Himadry Banergee of Centre for World Solidarity, Hyderabad visited SRI and Angara to evaluate progress of their project.
6th Dec., 2012 :
  • Mr. Arnab Mandal of COMPASSION visited to plan training programme on Sanitary Napkin for 2013. The target is fixed at 240.
  • Mr. D. Mishra, AGM (CSR), Rourkela Steel Plant visited to finalise periphery development programme for 2013-14 at R.S.P.
  • Strategy meeting for CSR of TATA Power Station at Tiroldi, Saraikela was held in their Ranchi office. Mr. M. R. Goswami & Mr. Ashit Sarkar attended. It was planned that SRI team would visit site to assess local situation.
